Cancellation & Usage of a Failed Project

Though IT projects are canceled due to various reasons, major reason is poor planning. Cost runs over the 15 percent of expected, delay in work or poor quality result in cancellation of a project.

If a project has to be canceled, at the beginning, one has to determine foresee the possible circumstances under which the project gets canceled.

If a company finds fall in revenue for any reason, the project time and business conditions have to be checked and the project can be cancelled if necessary, to stop further loss.

If the started project fails to serve the purpose and alter into something else in the due course, it can be considered that scope of project has been disturbed and it has to be terminated immediately.

Smaller number of projects can be created out of such run-out-of-track to get some returns on invested money till that point. After all, they have better chances to succeed than big projects.
